I don't care that Steph will be there...
...it doesn't matter anymore...
...because of how much I love everyone I will be there with.

I don't think they'll do this one.
But I can't get this song out of my head.
I know they won't do this one.
Which is a shame, because I really rather need it.

Only a matter of days to go! It is going to be terrible weather again, but I have new cute wellies, so it's ok.
I have missed the Guillemots' set at three festivals now and I am DETERMINED not to this year. Luckiy they clash with the headlining Godawful Verve so I should be in luck ![]()
This is one of my favourite tracks, ever. Ever! It's over 11 minutes long on the album, a bit shorter here. Quality isn't very good visually, but persevere with it, it sounds a bit like a whale is dying somewhere up until about 4 minutes in, but it gets better. I love it when a track finishes completely different to how it started
if I don't get to sing along to this, well, 'disappointed' would be something of an understatement. Fantastic ending.
And I love the message in this one. And it makes me think of someone.
Just like singing this one...(in another life I'd be drenched in sweat with you...but it's this life darlin', and in this life we make do...GET OVER IT!)

I'm tired. So, suffice to say:
I really like them.
They're on before The Verve, who I won't be hanging around for, so they may be my second headliner if I can't get over to Guillemots afterwards.
And the lead singer is cute.

Now I hadn't been too fussed about seeing them on the line up this year but I though it would be inevitable I see them, as they are on before Muse.
I've been listening to them a fair bit though lately and I'm quite excited! There's so many tracks I love that I've managed to forget about, and the set lists from recent gigs look quite good. So,
I love how young they look in the older vids ![]()
And this one makes me think of my mum. Don't ask...

Oooh lovely jubbly bouncy festival song fun. End of. Woohoo! Not long to go!

Oh we LIKE these.
Their album St Jude is very good. Yes, listening to it you do manage to figure out who they've been influenced by within about 30 seconds, but it works and I don't skip a single track, which is rare for me.
Plus, I've kind of had them thrust upon me, as my sister lives with one of their sisters, at uni, and has mingled with them from the start. So I didn't really have a choice in the matter, once she got a bee in her bonnet about them, I HAD to listen to them.
Plus she's slept with one of them.
Not the lead singer, unfortunately. (Phwoar.)
Anyway, I definitely want to see them. Think they're on on the Saturday. Ooh, 2 weeks today!

Now admittedly, the lead singer isn't great, and they can be incredibly saccharine, but, on a sunny day - which I have toes, fingers and both tails crossed for - they have an excellent sing along factor. Plus, Sewn is a ridiculously simple but good song, and me likey.

The scene: A school yard. Five boys enter from the right. Three are plain and ordinary. One is a runty, speccy geek. One is a foot taller than the other three, with man boobs. He is carrying a takeaway.
Geeky boy: I hate being such an outcast.
(Others murmur agreement.)
Geeky boy: Let's form a band. All the other boys that form bands get sex. We might get groupies and sex.
(Others murmur agreement.)
Geeky boy: Let's make electropop. That's quite cool, and you don't really need to know how to play instruments, per se. Let's make really catchy songs that get people interested before they get to see what total nerds we are. We'll look disgustingly British. What shall we call ourselves?
(Silence.)
Geeky boy: NO ideas?!
Fat boy: Ah-ah-ah-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh!
(Others turn to him expectantly.)
Fat boy: ...Hot chip.
(Others murmur agreement.)

I'm sorry, but I like them, and WILL be off to see them! They're harmless lovely boys and will be fun to sing along to ![]()
